Bob Weir is widely regarded as one of rock’s most creative and innovative rhythm guitarists. Rather than playing standard chords, Weir utilized complex jazz-influenced inversions, small melodic figures, and counter-rhythms to create space and "rhythm-lead" interplay with Jerry Garcia.

After a 30-year stint as the youngest member of the Grateful Dead, Weir grew into an elder statesman of rock n roll, collaborating with iconic artists such as Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, John Mayer, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young, Joan Baez and Santana… just to name a few.

A prolific songwriter, Weir also left a legacy of unique tunes that made up a large chunk of the Dead’s repertoire. Songs like “Truckin”, “Sugar Magnolia”, “Playin In The Band” were essential to the Grateful Dead live experience.
