After the epic sell out success of the Arts Club launch in March, we're back at Manchester Street in central Brighton for part two of a scallywag party you won't want to miss. Get your tickets early so you don't miss out.The Scallywag Party is back in the heart of Brighton, come join the meeting of light hearted lovers of good times with two rooms of live music, DJ's, walkabout performance, face painting, laughter, tomfoolery and togetherness! Have fun with friends old and new at a proper festival style party and EVERYONE'S INVITED!
WE bring the music but YOU bring the party! The vibes are high in this very special new home for our club night and we’ve got a belter of a lineup of live acts, Dj’s and performers for you.
If you're yet to experience one of our parties then now is the time to get involved, it's a friendly, all inclusive event that makes everyone feel very welcome. Some of the music you may know and some you probably won't as we bring together a unique showcase of our favourite independent festival acts and DJ's from across the UK.
Doors at 8pm, First live act on before 9pm, live music until late, DJ's until 2.30am.
THE LINE UP SO FAR
VIBE MACHINE - London based good times groove factory. Expect synth bass, big beats, spoken word MC and vocals from a soulful female duo who bring London life to the masses with a French twist. There's hands-in-the-air production and live breaks driven by a tight kit drummer. Vibe Machine regularly play on our stages at music festivals during the summer and we're so pleased to have them before they go out on the road this season.
BUDDHA TRIANGLE - Funky, soulful and grooving songs about love, sex and food. Bringing together an eclectic mix of genres to create their unique, brave sound; expect electronica, jazz, rock and hip hop that's performed with vim and vigour by a diverse and fluid line up of talented musicians. Frontman Sam slips effortlessly between a chilled and passionate rap style to more traditionally sung vocals. Having built up a massive fun loving following and community with the party goers of their hometown of Hastings and beyond, they are perfect for igniting the Scallywag Party. Live they are a force of nature and will be playing a stripped back acoustic set for us, don't miss this!
DJ EGGS LEGS - Encompassing various styles under the banners of Afro, Latin and Tropical music, Eggs Legs is a master selector. As well as mixing, he plays his own mash-ups originals and often adds live percussion and other instruments. Well known for creating a euphoric party atmosphere, Eggs Legs takes you on a journey, transporting you on a musical adventure! Glastonbury's Shangri-La, Bestival, Croatia's Stop Making Sense and the Concorde2 are a few of the places Eggs Legs has rocked the dance floor so strap in for the global journey.
ALMA TWIST - Speaking from the soul and spreading songs with positive messages, Alma Twist are a soul, Jazz, Hip-hop band that create music about growing up, our world, and politics. They love jamming, being silly, and having fun and we're very lucky to have them back at the Scallywag Party!

Party Safety - We work really hard to create parties that are a welcoming and safe spaces to be enjoyed by all. For your safety, and as with all venues in Brighton, a security team will be present. We trust you understand what is cool and what is not, and any antisocial and/or illegal activity will not be tolerated. In an instance of this trust being broken, inappropriate behaviour will be dealt with nicely but firmly and swiftly. Thank you for keeping all our previous events so safe, we really appreciate your help and the way the Scallywag family looks out for eachother, long may it continue!

But what is the scallywag party?
If you're yet to have the pleasure of hanging out in a field with us at one of our previous festivals or events then expect awesome live music, laughter, smiles, chilled days, magic nights, tomfoolery and togetherness.
Our music policy is always eclectic and always good time invoking. Expect Power Folk, Reggae, Afrobeat, Gypsy, Dub, Electronica and everything in between. There will be some acts you will know and some acts you will not, but in true Scallywag Party style, expect to be entertained, enlivened and enlightened!
