An Americana Adventure

1975- Stranded with a broken down van, you're stuck in the middle of nowhere. You and your buddies were scouting locations to film your new amateur horror hit but now your van's not moving! You are surrounded by what appears to be endless farmland, your smoking vehicle sitting on the bank of a long empty road and to make matters worse, its getting dark. The only sign of life for miles appears to be an old farm up on the hill. Maybe they have a phone you could use or at least could provide some directions- but that means taking a trip through the cornfields.

The premise is simple: Find help, fix the car and get the hell out of here: what could go wrong?

Shiver is a tabletop roleplaying game that brings your favourite scary movies, spooky tv shows, and horror stories to life. SHIVER is easy to learn, fast to play and immerses you in chaotic and dark magic filled stories. SHIVER uses its own system of symbolic dice to keep you immersed in the story as well as cutting out pesky arithmetic for visual aids. There’s no need to buy specific dice though- there is a mobile app that allows you to roll or there is a system to convert normal dice rolls to ‘shiver’ dice and we'll have some dice for you on the day!

This game is suitable for beginners- it will be presumed all players are new to the RPG system and the rules will be introduced before play. All participants will be sent guidance in advance and pre-made characters will be provided.

Warning this game may include violence and other themes that may be unsettling. Inappropriate behaviour will result in your removal from the premises. A safeguarding system will be in place that players can use, without judgment, to pause and redirect play during the game.
