About this Event
Join the Kappa Charitable Trust Fund, Inc. for an inspiring and soulful afternoon at "An Afternoon with the Nupes—Bringing Awareness to Colon Cancer," as we kick off pairings for the 2025 Frostbite Charity Golf Open.
This special jazz event will blend live music, engaging discussions, and community fellowship to raise awareness about colon cancer prevention and early detection, a critical health issue disproportionately affecting African Americans.
Enjoy a captivating performance by two-time Grammy and Stellar Award-nominated saxophonist, Marcus Anderson, while hearing from esteemed guest speakers, including medical experts, community leaders, and survivors who will share valuable insights on the importance of screening and prevention.
This event is free to attend, but we encourage attendees to support our mission by making a donation to the Kappa Charitable Trust Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to health awareness and community empowerment.
Bring your lawn chairs, bring a friend, and join us for an afternoon of jazz, education, and giving back.
Guest Speakers include:
Dr. Allen Mask — Internal Medicine Raleigh, NC
Mr. Michael Brown — Grand Chapter Nominating Committee Chairman
Rep. Robert Rieves — NC House Democratic Leader
Rep. James Roberson — NC House Representative District 39 Wake County
