An Afternoon with The Beacon Trio

The Beacon Trio brings together three accomplished musicians—Cindy, Tom, and Leslie—whose shared Boston roots and lifelong dedication to chamber music shine through every performance. Formed in 2023, the trio unites decades of teaching, performing, and composing experience from concert halls and universities across the U.S. and abroad.

Tom and Cindy, both retired professors from Pomona College, also perform as the acclaimed Duo Celliola, known for their expressive interpretations and Tom’s original compositions. Leslie, formerly of the Walnut Valley Unified School District, continues to share her passion for music as an administrator of the Assisi Performing Arts Festival, an Annika chamber music festival in Italy.

For this special concert at The Sanctuary Studio, the trio is joined by pianist Wan-Chin Chang, Professor at Soka University, adding new colors and energy to their rich musical collaboration.
