An Afternoon with Special Effects Makeup Artist Rod Maxwell

Bringing characters to life with special effects makeup, from the inside out. Come and meet Rod Maxwell and hear what it takes to create characters, living in someone else’s skin. With a special 20th anniversary screening of ‘The Wishing Well’, a children’s film festival short film classic, in which Rod stars as all the characters. Rod will show examples of prosthetics, fat suits, digital sculpting, monster making, and more—in an open forum to ask questions about his journey from independent films to blockbusters like ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, ‘Haunted Mansion’, ‘Moana’, ‘Red One’, and currently filming ‘Jumanji’ 3!
