From “Ozzie and Harriet” and “Adam-12” to now - Actor Kent McCord will appear in person to tell stories about his career in Hollywood, including his years (1968 - 1975) on the influential police drama "Adam 12," created by Robert A. Cinader and Jack Webb. The LAPD sanctioned "Adam 12" and was instrumental in the show's accuracy in depicting police procedures. The show broke new ground by mounting cameras on the hood of the police cars to give viewers a sense of the excitement of riding along with the officers.
The success of "Adam 12" was responsible for ushering a new generation into police work in the 1970s.
Ryan Cassidy, who curated an "Adam 12" display as part of the current Broadcast from Hollywood exhibit, will moderate a Q&A with Kent McCord.
A vintage police car will make an appearance in the Hollywood Heritage parking lot!
This event is free with museum admission.
