About this Event
Books & Books is proud to present an afternoon with Barbara Neijna for Neijna. She will be introduced by George Bolge, Director Emeritus of the Fort Lauderdale Museum and the Florida Museum of Art.
***Please note: This event will take place at the Books & Books in Coral Gables at 265 Aragon Ave. Tickets are FREE and books will be available for purchase at the event.
About the Author/Artist:
Barbara Neijna attended the College of Art in Philadelphia, PA. She also studied at Syracuse University, New York and Academia di Brlli arte di Brera, Milan, Italy. Neijna has received many honors for her artwork including being a Tiffany Foundation Fellowship Recipient and National Endowment For the Arts Award. Based in South Florida from 1962, she has produced a large body of sculpture ranging from small wall-mounted objects to monumental freestanding geometric forms. In 1996, the Center for the Fine Arts in Miami held an exhibition of her "interior landscapes".
