Join us at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church for our October Afternoon with an Author series! We are thrilled to welcome local author Barbara Reaume Sandre, celebrated for her compelling Reaume Series, a collection of historical fiction that captivates readers with rich narratives and vivid historical settings.Set in New France during the late 18th century, the Reaume Series beautifully chronicles the generational story of Barbara's family. Through rich, immersive storytelling, the series explores themes of identity, resilience, and the struggles of early settlers in a complex and evolving landscape. Each book offers a poignant glimpse into the past, bringing to life the challenges and triumphs faced by those who came before us.
Barbara Reaume Sandre has spent over twenty years doing genealogical research on her family. She is a member of the Essex County Genealogical Society. Barbara taught mathematics at St.Clair College in Windsor and then at Essex District High school for 28 years. She is enjoying her retirement. Barbara lives in Windsor, Ontario, with her husband Richard. They have two daughters. She also runs a small gift shop in her home and in Grand Bend. When not doing research or working in her gift shop, Barbara enjoys gardening, bird watching, and shopping.
