About this Event

You’re invited to an afternoon filled with laughter, watercolor and a bit of shopping (and bubbly of course!) at Louise in Summerville, South Carolina

Settle in for an beauty-filled afternoon at Louise, Summerville’s darling downtown boutique, where timeless style meets heartfelt community. Thoughtfully curated and warmly welcoming, Louise is more than a shop — it’s a gathering place designed for connection, confidence, and celebration. Surrounded by beautiful clothing and delightful conversation, you’ll sip something bubbly, browse at your leisure, and savor the charm of this intimate, stylish setting.

The watercolor session with Sarah Simon of The Mint Gardener has been designed to help you feel comfortable, curious, and confident in the beautiful art of watercolor. Together, you’ll explore the painting techniques Sarah uses in her own practice, learning the foundations step by step in a way that feels approachable and intuitive. She’ll guide you through the process with clear instruction and thoughtful pacing, so you can truly enjoy the rhythm of watercolor—watching color bloom, soften, and move across the page.

To keep the focus on painting (no drawing is required!), you’ll work from a pre-drawn art piece in her internationally best-selling Watercolor Workbook, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in brushwork, color mixing, and the gentle magic of watercolor. This session is an invitation to slow down, experiment, and delight in the process.

All materials are included, with a curated selection of professional paints and brushes chosen especially for this event, so you can continue painting at home long after our time together ends. Bring one of Sarah’s books if you have one—she’ll be happy to sign it—and she’ll also have her full collection available for purchase and signing after class.

An afternoon of watercolor, wardrobe inspiration, and sparkling conversation — all under one charming roof. Sarah truly can’t wait to paint with you, and to share the flowing freedom and quiet joy that comes from letting paint and water dance together on the page.
