Join The Artist Tree West Hollywood Lounge and the Last Prisoner Project for An Afternoon for Freedom, a free community event bringing together art, cannabis advocacy and criminal justice reform.

While cannabis is legal in California, thousands of people across the country remain incarcerated for cannabis-related offenses. This afternoon of creativity and advocacy will support efforts to secure release, clemency and reentry support for people still serving time for cannabis offenses.

Guests will have the opportunity to make zines, write letters to people currently incarcerated for cannabis-related offenses, and learn more about the ongoing fight for cannabis justice reform. The event will also feature Stephanie Shepard, Executive Director of the Last Prisoner Project, speaking about the current state of cannabis justice reform in California and the work still needed to bring people home.

The event is presented in partnership with Last Prisoner Project, LA Zine Fest, Alien Labs, Raw Garden and Originals Los Angeles, connecting the cannabis, art and advocacy communities for an afternoon dedicated to making a difference.

Admission is free with registration. Attendees are encouraged to make a $25 donation to the Last Prisoner Project, with a goal of raising $5,000 to support the organization's work.
