Amy L. Bernstein with Taylor Holbrooks: TENT CITY
About this Event
As the American town of Willing crumbles under a collapsing economy, hundreds seek refuge in the dense "city" of tents that spring up in the Kings' big backyard.
So follows the new novel by Amy L. Bernstein, TENT CITY. In the words of author Amy Goldmacher, the book asks us "Where does individual and collective responsibility start and end?" TENT CITY is a contemporary dystopian family saga that places ordinary citizens in extraordinary circumstances, precipitated by dire economic disruption.
We'll hear from the author in conversation with Taylor Holbrooks, host of Morning Edition on WYPR, as they open the door to these questions and help us walk through.
