About this Event

P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Amy Ferris to celebrate and discuss her new book, ; a wickedly funny memoir about seeking answers everywhere when they all reside within oneself.

Amy will be joined in conversation by C.O. Moed, author of . Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Amy will also sign copies of her book.

Both tickets and books are available on eventbrite and at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm with the talk starting closer to 7pm.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Amy Ferris is an author, a writer, a screenwriter, an editor and a playwright. Her memoir, Marrying George Clooney, Confessions From a Midlife Crisis (Seal Press) was adapted into an Off-Broadway play in 2012. Amy has written for both the small screen (TV) and the big screen (Feature Films). As a screenwriter, she co-wrote Mr. Wonderful (Director, Anthony Minghella) and was nominated for a Best Screenplay Award (BET, Black Reel Award) for her adaptation of the film, Funny Valentines (Director, Julie Dash) As an editor, she curated Shades of Blue, Writers on Depression, Suicide and Feeling Blue (Seal Press), and co-edited the anthology, Dancing at the Shame Prom (Seal Press). She co-authored Old School Love (HarperCollins, 2020) with Rev Run of RUN DMC fame. Amy serves on a variety of advisory boards supporting women and the Arts. She co-founded The Milford Readers & Writers Festival, and is on faculty at The Kauai Writer's Conference. In 2019 she was named one of Women's eNews 21 LEADERS FOR THE 21st CENTURY, in 2021 she was a recipient of NextTribe's The 12 Women Who Changed the World, and in 2022, Amy was awarded and honored by the Thoughtful Book Festival as Inspirational Woman in Media. Her new memoir, Mighty Gorgeous - A Little Book About Messy Love, was published Fall 2023 (SheWritesPress). Her new book, Amy In Retrograde, will be published March 2026 by G Editions.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR
C.O. Moed grew up on New York’s Lower East Side when it was still a tough neighborhood. A recipient of the Elizabeth George Grant for Fiction and an alum of the groundbreaking WOW Cafe, her work has appeared in various publications, including the Silver Tongued Devil Anthology; AWAKE: Reader for the Sleepless; Shades of Blue- Writers on Depression, Suicide, and Feeling Blue; Inspirational Art Magazine; and Sensitive Skin. Her debut memoir, It Was Her New York: True Stories and Snapshots (Rootstock Publishing, 2024) was a BookLifeEditor Pick, Kirkus “Get It” Review, a quarterfinalist in the 2024 BookLife Prize in Memoir / Autobiography, receiving the highest score of a ten rating, and winner of the Firebird Book Award Judges' Pick, among others. She lives "uptown" in the East Village with fellow writer, Ted Krever. They are both Mets fans.
