Amy D.'s innate ability to carry a lyric and capture the essence of a song can be traced back to her early years. Embodying the longing in Great American Songbook standards and the depth of Quiet Storm R&B, she's found a timeless sound entirely her own.
A San Jose native now based in Oakland, Amy D. (Amy Dabalos) is a vocalist and songwriter whose luminescent voice and performances have graced stages throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond since 2010 — including SFJAZZ, Yoshi's Oakland, The Sound Room, Keys Jazz Bistro, San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, and more. Drawing from jazz, soul, and R&B, she moves between styles and eras with effortless warmth.
Her debut album Like You was released in 2019 on Unspeakable Records, co-produced with Michael Aaberg (Goapele, Lalah Hathaway, Derrick Hodge).
