Experience an evening rooted in memory, resilience, and the rich coastal traditions of the Gullah Geechee people of South Carolina's Lowcountry.
Drawing from her family’s lineage, Chef Britny Hannon brings forward dishes that honor the ingenuity and cultural preservation of Gullah Geechee cooking—from pickles and fermentation to heirloom grains and seasonal vegetables that speak to generations of tradition.
The dinner will be paired with session cocktails (low ABV) that will focus on the distinct character of Virginia’s landscape, weaving local ingredients into the menu to create a dialogue between regions, histories, and shared Southern roots.
$165 per person; Price is inclusive of menu, service, tax, and parking in the VMFA deck.
