About this Event

Welcome to Your Amplify Her Workshop!

Please note that this event is in person; however, if you are not able to join in person, you will have access to it online.

Amplify Her presents Writing Workshop - Taking your creativity up a notch!

Do you believe you can command creativity? Well, we do. Don't wait, just write!

In a world where ChatGPT is an easy click away, this Writing Workshop offers you an opportunity to reconnect with your own voice by following our new 5-Phase Guide-To-Rapid-Fire-Writing.

One week before each workshop, the group will receive a writing prompt that you must unlock.

When each workshop starts, the objective is to transform your ideas through our rapid-fire writing process and create something meaningful from your own unique voice.

It could be: poetry, lyrics, a short story, or an essay. Whatever the prompt opens up for you and what you feel called to write!

This workshop is designed to encourage you to command creativity through our 5-Phase Guide and quick writing exercises. We don't expect perfection, but completion of a work that only YOU could have written.

This creative cycle will end with each person presenting their work to the group (optional)

Our goal is to remind you how important it is to continue nurturing your own inner spark and beautiful mind.

What you will learn from these sessions:

Speed & Flow – Getting ideas down quickly and trusting your instincts.

Self-Expression – Playing with language and discovering new ways to communicate ideas.

Imagination & Perspective – Exploring creative scenarios and seeing the world through different lenses.

MEET THE HOST: LAUREL GRAHAM

Laurel Graham is a Canadian author/singer-songwriter writing her debut novel, Romantic Girl, which began as an album released on December 29, 2025. Laurel is currently recording the second album of this project with producer Jack Trouble at Spiritual Records in Camden. She began writing and recording music as creative therapy. Her growing catalogue has been named “uplifting heartbreak pop.” Laurel’s writing process bridges creativity and wellness and led her to start building a writing group in 2025 called Love Rehab centered around the themes of heartbreak, personal growth, and rewriting your story. Laurel studied Journalism & Visual Media in Ireland before beginning a career in the film industry working on series like Vikings, Umbrella Academy, and Penny Dreadful. She has spent 10+ years building a practical foundation in good storytelling and has been fortunate to work with top producers, showrunners, writers, and directors to build this. Now she’s taking all her training to create Romantic Girl and empowering others to harness their voice through programs like Amplify Her’s Writing Workshop, Taking Your Creativity Up a Notch.

Testimonials:

What I loved most about the workshop was the openness and no judgement mentality that was implemented from the first day. I felt safe and held during this process, and Laurel her writing prompts were challenging in a safe way. They opened up part of my unconsciousness that I’ve never felt before. I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience, and if there’s another opportunity to work with Laurel or this group, I definitely would! – Pien

Laurel cultivated a supportive space that gently encouraged a beautiful vulnerability and openness from the group - evident not only in the pieces we created and shared throughout the course but also in the honest group chats delving into the inspiration and nuances that shaped our work and including some true Aha moments! I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who is looking to reinvigorate their creativity in a warm, inspiring and supportive space. – Kat

Thank you, Laurel, for hosting the creative writing circle. It was such a unique experience, especially coming from a nursing background. I immediately felt safe to express myself. Plus, the weekly prompts really helped me grow in my writing. I still go back to my "future self" exercise to always brings me back on track. Overall, it was such a refreshing space, beautifully blending writing and wellness. – Sheena
