On Sunday, June 14 at 5:00 PM, the Atlanta Music Project World Music Festival Orchestra, led by John Young Shik Concklin, will take audiences on a thrilling musical journey across Spain, Cape Verde, and the United States in a concert filled with passion, virtuosity, and unforgettable melodies.
The evening's centerpiece features acclaimed guitarist Thomas Flippin performing Joaquín Rodrigo's beloved Concierto de Aranjuez, one of the most famous and emotionally stirring guitar concertos ever written. Its soaring melodies and Spanish flair have captivated audiences around the world for generations.
Representing Cape Verde, the orchestra will perform The Voices of Cape Verde, an original work by composer Nicole Hardin inspired by the country's most cherished songs and musical traditions.
