Amnesty International USA's Annual General Meeting 2025 - Detroit, MI

For more than 60 years, Amnesty International USA has hosted our Annual General Meeting to educate, motivate, and advocate. Amnesty International is a global movement of people fighting injustice and promoting human rights. We work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth, and dignity are denied.

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for members and activists to come together and inspire one another, learn about each other’s efforts and campaigns, share stories and experiences, and listen and participate in our sessions and panels. Throughout the weekend, you will meet people who share your dedication to human rights.

We will host our virtual conference via Whova and on-site in Detroit, MI at the Westin Book Cadillac. We encourage you to join us in person. Our hybrid conference will share the goal of all Annual General Meetings to create a transformative experience focused on human rights education, skills-building, networking, and inspiring action.

AGM'25 will offer workshops that cover an array of human rights issues such as Ending Racial Discrimination & Ensuring Equality and Equity, Reproductive rights, Refugee and Migrant Rights, Ending Gun Violence, and much more.

As activists, we will be challenged to initiate change within our own communities. This will only happen with you – we need you there!

Registration is now open and will be available on this tab. Please note, while there are deadlines for participation in specific governance sessions, there is only one conference registration required. Please note that this conference registration is for IN-PERSON attendance.

Governance:

Our Member Services team is required to verify each individual’s membership status prior to the conference and will need lead time in order to do so. Please note that there is a 50 day cut-off for AGM'25. Members need to renew their membership to vote at AGM'25 by January 2nd, 2025. If you have any questions regarding Working Parties and/or Voting Plenary at the AGM'25, please contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible.

Please note, while there is no guarantee that you will be able to vote if you miss this deadline, our team will do its best to accommodate late registrations. Ticket Pricing:

There are two ticket options for the AGM'25. Either ticket will grant you access to the full 3-day conference. For the first two months only, we are offering an early bird discount of half off the cost of registration.
