AMKA Ugadi 2024

Dear AMKA members,

We invite you and your family to AMKA's Ugadi event on Saturday, April 27th 2024. Our committee is planning some fun activities for children, exciting games for adults and scrumptious food to end the evening!

We request all invitees (including those who have paid "One-time Flat Fee") to RSVP by registering online by Saturday, April 20th 2024 so that we can get an accurate count of members planning to attend the event.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES ( FOR MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL KIDS)

We would like to encourage middle and high school students to sign up for volunteering for the Ugadi function. Volunteers will be rewarded with a certificate for the community hours that they put in. Volunteering opportunities will include - help at registration, technical support with lighting, sound and power point, assisting with running workshops for kids, etc. Please send an email to [email protected] to sign up.

ENTERTAINMENT

We encourage enthusiastic participation from our AMKA members of all age groups. Those who would like to perform, please send in your entries with the following details to [email protected]:

1. Type of performance (Play/dance/song/instrument)

2. Duration of performance

3. Name of the participant(s)

In addition, if you would like to showcase any pre-recorded performances then please send the videos in mp4 format to [email protected].

** Last Date for sending in your entertainment entries is Saturday, April 13th 2024 **

FOOD

This is completely optional, but the committee (not to mention other members) would love it in case you're interested in bringing any home cooked Konkani food for the function. If so, do let us know. A member of the food committee will reach out to you.

SPONSORSHIPS

We welcome any members interested in financially sponsoring one or more food items that we plan to cater for the event, or if you'd like to donate a fixed amount. This will help us keep our event costs low, while (for e.g.) allowing you to celebrate a special event or family milestone with everyone.

EVENT FEE

For families that have paid “One-time Flat Fee”, the event is FREE for registered family members; however, event fee needs to be paid for any guests accompanying the members.

For families that have paid “ $60 Annual Membership fee" only, there is an event fee.

If you have neither paid the "One-time flat fee" nor the " $60 Annual membership fee", please pay the amount by Zelle (to [email protected]) or by check at the venue. The annual AMKA membership fee for 2024 will be collected at the door.
