PROGRAM: Please join AMHS for what is sure to be a very interesting and informative event with New York sculptor John Belardo, who grew up in the same Bronx neighborhood where the Piccirilli Brothers established their studio, which became the go-to place for aspiring American artists in the 19th century. The Piccirilli Brothers were most noted for their carving of the Lincoln Monument (in the Lincoln Memorial) and the stone lions of the New York Public Library, John Belardo is an award-winning sculptor, an expert on the Piccirilli Brothers and their immigrant success story. His talk is bound to be an enjoyable learning experience. This event is co-sponsored by the Casa Italiana Sociocultural Center.
LUNCH: Catered by A. Litteri's. Menu includes Italian cold cut sandwiches, Italian cold cuts and cheese platter, pasta salad, and dessert. Beverages (water, iced tea, soda, coffee) included.
PRICE: $25.00 for members; $30.00 for non-members.
