This AmeriCorps Week, while #AmeriCorpsWorks, we’re getting together to show that #AmeriCorpsWalks, too!

Join us for the AmeriCorps Alumni Virtual Walk-a-Thon, where you can step out to celebrate service from anywhere! This nationwide event encourages AmeriCorps members, alumni, and supporters to walk, run, or move in their own communities while celebrating the incredible impact of the AmeriCorps community. And while you can move on your own, consider getting out with a local AmeriCorps member or fellow alum – because just like service, walking is better together!

Track your steps and share your journey on social media using #AmeriCorpsWalks. The region of the US that submits the most people walking in their photos will get a special shoutout at the end of Americorps Week! Let’s move together—wherever we are—for a stronger, more engaged future!

If you need an extra push to get out in 2025, we’re challenging you to volunteer a in your community for one hour for every mile you walk. Whether it’s mentoring a student, cleaning up a park, or supporting a local nonprofit, your efforts will make a lasting impact. Track your miles, continue your lifetime of service, and help strengthen communities one step at a time!
