The only race where the last person to finish is the winner! Join us for an epic Sunday Fun Day with Altra Running. The day after America's Toughest Road Races, everyone is invited to enjoy a relaxed 5k walk/run on the Roanoke River Greenway where the goal is to go slow, connect with others, and take it easy. There will be shoe demos, goat yoga, live music, and much, much more.
NEW! This year's Slow-K start/finish area will be at the Dog Bowl at Black Dog Salvage (Home of 'Salvage Dawgs' as seen on the DIY Network). Come for the run and stay for the artisans of Dog Bowl Market, live music, local craft beer, and great food. This is the perfect way to end your weekend in Virginia's Blue Ridge.
Slow-K Events

PRICE: $35 Includes: entry, Slow-K coffee mug and a cup of craft coffee, donut, goat yoga, recovery area, live music, and Altra shoe demos.
7:30 AM - Registration/Check-in opens, Altra shoe demos available, and biscuits & mimosas on sale. Day-of Registration ends at 8:30 AM.
8:00 AM - Goat yoga session #1 (45 mins)
Around 9:00 AM - The ceremonial biting-of-the-donut and Slow-K start!
10:00 AM - Goat yoga session #2 (45 mins)
Fleet Feet will be onsite offering their recovery zone with compression boots, foam rollers, and more; and Athletic Brewing non-alcoholic brews will be available.

This is a very popular event. There is limited parking at Black Dog Salvage.
If you aren't familiar with the area, we recommend parking at Wasena Park and walking over the bridge to Black Dog Salvage or taking the shuttle from downtown.
