American Melodies on Ukrainian Strings is a one-of-a-kind musical experience that reimagines generations of American music through the sound of Ukraine’s national instrument — the BANDURA, a spectacular instrument with more than 60 strings and a sound unlike anything else.

Spanning more than a century of music, the programme journeys from the roots of the American musical tradition to some of its most recognizable modern sounds. American folk songs and spirituals meet jazz, film, rock and contemporary music, all newly reimagined through the rich and distinctive sound of Ukrainian strings.
