RULES
Euchre Rules
Movement & Score Cards
1. Opposite colors always play as partners
2. The winning partners move. Losers remain at table.
3. White goes up. Blue goes down.
4. Only opponent marks scorecard.
Dealing & Making Trump
5. Mandatory cut is required.
a. Cut must be 4 cards or greater
6. Everyone deals 2 times (No Miss-Deals). Total of 8 deals.
7. If a card is exposed deal, you must re-deal.
8. Deal must be in groups of 2 or 3, no mix (square deal).
9. You must have at least 1 natural trump in your hand to order or pick up.
Play
10. A card laid is a card played.
11. Lead out of turn (advantage has been taken). Opposition gets two points.
12. Play out of turn is two points
a. You cannot lead or play out of turn on the last trick
b. Person taking the trick before last still determines the lead suit.
13. Refrain from table talk.
14. All tricks should be turned over and kept in books.
15. Play hand out unless all four players agree that play may be curtailed and no renege has occurred.
Loners
16. If playing alone it must be declared prior to the initial lead of the first trick. The player sitting out may gather the tricks but should not make any comments or look at the kitty.
17. Opposition reneges, the person playing alone gets 4 points.
18. The person playing alone reneges, the opposition gets 2 points.
19. If your partner would in error still lead or follow suit, this would only void the loner.
20. You can only play against a loner if you have not had a chance to make trump in that suit. The person taking three tricks or better gets 4 points.
