ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Jim Irizarry as John Lennon
Jim Irizarry was born and raised in Chicago and was inspired by the Beatles' music at a very early age listening to his older siblings’ Beatles collection.
Jim performed in various musical groups including a 16-piece orchestra and a jazz duo as vocalist as well as performing around the Chicago area with several reputable Beatles tribute groups. The Lennon role was a natural fit for Jim, as his voice captures the range and timbre of John through the many Beatles' eras.
After a trip to Liverpool and The Cavern Club, Jim was again influenced to pursue and perfect his Lennon portrayal, further studying the guitar work and learning all the harmonica parts to the early songs. Jim has performed as Lennon on Broadway in New York and in large theatres and venues spanning the globe. Visually, Jim also nails the many Lennon looks through the eras and captivates the audience with his humor and onstage antics.
Eric Michaels as Paul McCartney
Eric Michaels and Paul McCartney have several things in common, but perhaps the most striking similarity is that they are both incredibly versatile vocalists. Eric has the power to scream out a raucous rocker like, “I Saw Her Standing There” and also the finesse to sweetly sing a tender love ballad such as “Yesterday.” He is also a multi-talented instrumentalist; not only does he play a lefthanded Höfner Beatle bass like McCartney; he is also proficient on piano, organ and guitar. Eric’s physical resemblance to McCartney combined with his vocal and instrumental talents produce an amazing performance every time. American English’s version of Sir Paul, Eric Michaels, also has the distinction of being endorsed by Höfner guitar.
James Paul Lynch as George Harrison
At age 18, James Paul responded to an ad in the local newspaper for a “Beatles Tribute Band” that was looking for a Paul McCartney. He immediately taught himself how to play the bass left-handed and joined his first Beatle band. Soon after, he would also dabble as "John" and then finally began perfecting the role best suited to him “musically,” "GEORGE!" Like his father before him, lead guitar is his passion and he could easily identify with George's personality more since George was his favorite Beatle.
James Paul has played Beatles music in countless countries spanning four continents. He is proficient on guitar, bass, piano, drums and many other instruments, and is also a song writer and records his original music whenever time permits.
Tony Giangreco as Ringo Starr
Tony Giangreco has been studying Ringo’s drumming since he was 12 years old. Upon seeing his first Beatles tribute concert at that young age, Tony knew exactly what he wanted to do in his musical life moving forward and began studying Ringo, perfecting every note as he played along to all the albums and watching videos to capture his mannerisms.
There are many similarities between Tony and Ringo. He shares the same height and weight, as well as the same head bob when he’s playing his rock steady tempos! Tony pays attention to every detail when portraying Ringo. Watch closely as he even leads his fills left-handed!
Before playing with American English, Tony had played in many Beatles cover bands in the Chicagoland area and has performed on many stages across the country! Outside of American English, Tony plays guitar, bass, piano, and also enjoys recording original music.
