The WaterFire Arts Center presents America, Unfinished?!, a large-scale contemporary art exhibition on view July 2 through August 30, 2026 in the Main Hall.
Bringing together artists from across the country, the exhibition examines the complexities, contradictions, and possibilities of the American experience. Through immersive installations, large-scale artworks, and thought-provoking interventions, America, Unfinished?! explores themes of identity, democracy, belonging, memory, justice, and civic life — asking not what America is, but what it could still become.
Presented in the 15,000-square-foot Main Hall of the WaterFire Arts Center, the exhibition transforms the space into a dynamic environment for dialogue, reflection, and discovery. Rather than offering definitive answers, America, Unfinished?! invites visitors to engage with multiple perspectives and consider their own role in shaping America's future.
