#AmbitiousLCR Celebration ‘Future Ambition’

Growth Platform Invite you to join us at this celebration event to learn from innovative entrepreneurs who have been creating waves in the local business community and to look ahead at what the future holds for Liverpool City Region businesses with High Growth Ambition.

The LCR High Growth Programme has been supporting ambitious businesses in Liverpool City Region demonstrating high growth potential to innovate, adapt, and grow since 2022. The programme offers a range of support measures designed to drive innovation and growth through our partners Growth Platform, St Helens Chamber and Edge Hill University.

In January we launched #AmbitiousLCR a campaign and event series to celebrate the brilliant businesses working on the programme and creating a legacy of Liverpool City Region as a place where businesses can realise their growth ambition.

As the funded programme draws to a close, we are keen to continue the momentum built through encouraging entrepreneurs to work with us to realise their growth ambition.

Join us as we celebrate achievements of local innovators and pioneers as we launch the ‘AmbitiousLCR List’ reflecting on success stories from the programme, and as we hear from experts about what the future holds for the Liverpool City Region business community.

Meet Our Host

Ellie Phillips is a Scouse presenter and showbiz journalist, born and bred in Liverpool, now based in London.

Working in the media for over 10 years: presenting on television, radio and online, interviewing a huge range of celebrities and hosting a wide variety of live events, Ellie is currently the showbiz presenter for GB News Breakfast alongside Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster, and is the channel’s red carpet presenter, covering everything from The Grammys and The BRIT Awards to the National Television Awards and Pride Of Britain.

Ellie is a commentator for ITV’s Good Morning Britain, ITV News, Channel 5 News and When TV Goes Horribly Wrong, a showbiz reporter for MailOnline and Times Radio’s entertainment correspondent.

Her Liverpudlian tones can often be heard on national news and lifestyle programmes, such as BBC News, TalkTV, Heart FM and LBC, to discuss entertainment news and the issues of the day, having cut her teeth locally in her early days presenting for Liverpool Business News (LBN).

Music industry entrepreneur turned journalist, Ellie has a masters degree with distinction in Music Industry Studies, from the University of Liverpool, and a 1st class degree in International Communications from the University of Nottingham. She also holds a gold standard NCTJ.

Ellie regularly hosts live events such as award shows, including the Merseyside Independent Business Awards, Liverpool Independent Music Festival, Brazilica, Women In Business Awards, the North West Fashion Festival, new business launches, fashion shows, openings, charity fundraisers and more.

Ellie is a passionate advocate for the prevention of domestic abuse and for the protection of animals. As a proud Scouser, she is also a campaigner for social justice.
