Hi, my name is Amber Hermanson, I am 15 years old and an avid softball player. I have been invited to play softball in Spain July 10-18, 2023 and represent the USA through America's Team. This is not only an amazing opportunity to play the sport i love but also I will play with some of the best softball players in the world. I am both excited and grateful for the opportunity to play with and learn from these girls. All proceeds from the event will help cover the costs of lodging and travel expenses. Here is a little bit about myself.
I started playing baseball when I was just 4 years old. I played little league house and travel baseball until the age of 12 when transitioned to softball. In eighth grade I made the JV softball team for Niagara Falls High School. In 9th grade I played on the varsity team. I played for the Cayuga Gamblers Travel Softball Organization for 3 years. I will be playing for the USSSA Pride 16u team for the 22-23 season.
In Aug. 2021 I participated in the Top 100 Games where I ranked 36th in my age I was then nominated and selected to play in the Softball Youth All-American group. Games held in Panama City Beach, Florida on Dec. 18-22, 2021. The All-American games is an invite only 4-day tournament featuring the best athletes from coast to coast. My team finished 2nd overall in the tournament. On December 23, 2021, I was notified that I was selected to play in the Softball Youth Elite Games in Newberry, Florida in April 2022. The Elite Games is the next step in the best All-Americian's with participation in notable tournaments around the nation. On December 31st, 2021, I was notified that I was nominated and selected to play in the Academic Achievement games that take place in July 2022 in Wheeling, IL. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Academic Games. Most recently (August 11-14 2022) I played in The All American Games for the 2nd time. We won the championship for the high school division. I was awarded the defensive wizard award and also an invite to the Elite Games once again. On Aug 8, 2022 I received the invitation to play for America's Team. Head coaches from across the country invite girls that they are interested in recruiting for college to play on the team. The coach from West Virginia Tech has invited me to play for her.
Playing in the All-American and Elite Games has allowed me to build and develop my skills, form life-long bonds with some of the best softball players in the US and give me the opportunity to showcase my talents in front of many college softball scouts. This opportunity to go to Spain to play internationally and represent the USA will be another stepping stone to learn and improve my game. My goal is to play the game I love but also to give me the opportunity to obtain a college education while playing softball at a Division 1 college.

Thank you for your time and consideration. making my dream come true is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Amber Hermanson
