✨ AMBER NIGHTS 2 @ BASTIONEN✨(In English below)

Together we orchestrate all the dreams and fantasies that became ours over time. As children, we drifted through imagined worlds - borrowing realities that were never truly ours, trying on lives like costumes, reshaping absence into possibility and longing into narrative. These dreams became both refuge and rehearsal, a way of inhabiting what we could not claim, yet could vividly feel.
In a (perhaps internal?) fictional space, discrepancies and symbioses emerge in the search for what has gone, with a gaze cast into rearview mirrors that never reflected us. A space where Korean Barbie demands her revenge in a battle against Astrid Lindgren-narratives, or a Lucia procession where we never had to be the gingerbread cookie. At times, the stage becomes a meditative breeze, only to be whipped into a wild storm of movement, play, text, sound or euphoric cacophony in what becomes the collective’s reclamation - a taking back, a rewriting of a lost childhood.

✨ AMBER NIGHTS 2 @ Bastionen ✨
Welcome to the second public evening organized by AMBER EONS – a new platform in southern Sweden where dance and experimental performing arts meet artists with roots in, and connections to, the Southeast/East Asian Scandinavian diaspora.
During the spring, nine artists come together to explore three interdisciplinary stage processes. The works move between themes such as identity, lost memories, heritage, the body, hyper- and hyposexualization, natural phenomena, and speculative realities.
Week 2 presents an excerpt from amber eons’ working process with DANIEL JEREMIAH PERSSON’s “AMBER EONS 4-EVER”, followed by a guest lecture and talk with author LEE LANGVAD. More information about the evening below.
🏮 AMBER NIGHTS 🏮
Each phase of the work concludes with an open evening where the audience is invited to experience excerpts from the ongoing processes. The evening is framed by exhibitions and ends with a specially invited guest – a voice that has made an impact within the Southeast/East Asian Scandinavian diaspora.
