Join us for an evening of dark art and dark spirits! In celebration of our newest art exhibition "The Evil Among Us", Palette Gallery is pleased to invite you to a special amaro tasting with Oliver McCrum. Learn more about the history and complexities of this unique spirit as you sip through four varieties from their impressive portfolio: Fred Jerbis Amaro, Bordiga Amaro Dilei, Liquore delle Sirene Canto Amaro, and Bresca Dorada Mirtamaro.Italian for "bitter," amaro is an herbal liqueur traditionally made by infusing grape brandy with a blend of herbs, aromatics and spices, producing a silky and complex digestif. Every amaro is different - and there are hundreds - but their distinctive dark coloring make them the perfect pairing for the surrounding ambiance of the Gallery.

About the exhibition:
Palette Gallery presents "The Evil Among Us" - a dark art exhibition co-curated with Shane Izykowski. This group show explores the rituals of apotropaic magic and their converse implication of omnipresent dark forces in our daily lives.
Derived from the Greek “to ward off” and “turn away from”, apotropaic magic is intended to repel harm or evil spirits. These positive occurrences of the occult are more commonplace than we think, deeply embedded in the cultures that surround us. From amulets and spells, to lucky charms and vague superstitions, apotropaic magic is abundant – thus implying that evil is as well. On view through November 6th, 2021.
