Amanita Lore Workshop

Explore the folklore and symbolism surrounding the iconic red-and-white amanita mushroom and its proposed connections to Christmas traditions. This class takes a closer look at Siberian shamanic lore, stories of female shamans, and themes of spiritual “flight” and shapeshifting. We’ll explore interpretations that connect these stories with Yule celebrations and the familiar imagery of Father Christmas. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as we consider how myths evolve and discover a different perspective on the stories of the season.
