Amanda McBroom (born 9 August 1947; age 76) is the actress who played Captain Phillipa Louvois in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Measure Of A Man". She was born in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles as the daughter of actor Marden Andrew McBroom (aka David Bruce); she married actor George Ball in 1974. McBroom previously had a recurring role as police officer Sandi Welles on the hit crime television series Hawaii Five-O. In her first episode, 1976's "Loose Ends Get Hit",
