Med et nytt album i bagasjen kommer Amadou & Mariam for første gang til Trondheim! Etter en lang periode med internasjonale samarbeid slapp verdens mest berømte duo fra Mali plata «La Vie Est Belle» i 2024.
Med en nesten 50 år lang karriere har de etablert seg som de største ambassadørene av afropop. Nå er de tilbake med deres oppmuntrende kreativitet.
Gjør deg klar for en blanding av dansbare afrobeat-rytmer og hypnotiske melodier. Musikken har både et tradisjonelt og moderne preg, med et organisk og elektronisk sound. Låten «Mogolu», som betyr «folk» på Bambara, er en feiring av menneskelige møter, reiser og mangfold. Dette har vært duoens lange forpliktelse for fred, i tillegg til en åpen invitasjon til å danse. Amadou & Mariam are coming to Trondheim for the first time, with a brand-new album! After a long period with international collaborations, the world’s most famous Malian duo released their record “La Vie Est Belle” in 2024.
At 60 years of age and with a career spanning almost 50 years, Amadou & Mariam have established themselves as the ultimate ambassadors of Afro pop. And here they are again with new album, as always a breath of fresh air thanks to their trademark joyful creativity.
A mixture of infectious danceable Afro-beat rhythms and hypnotic melodies, of tradition and modernity, of organic and electronic sounds, carried by Mariam’s heavenly vocals, “Mogolu” delightfully taps into everything that is magical and powerful about their previous irresistible hits.
