About this Event
Note: Doors open for networking and light refreshments at 8 AM. The program will run from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The Latino American population is one of the fastest-growing economic forces in Massachusetts, driving workforce expansion, business growth, and household wealth. Unlocking the full potential of this community is critical to the state’s future prosperity.
Join political and policy leaders for a timely program from We Are ALX in partnership with the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, The Boston Foundation, State House News Service, and MASSterList.
The ALX Policy Forum 2025 will unveil key insights from the ¡Vamos Massachusetts! Unlocking Hispanic/Latino Economic Advancement Report by the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, made possible by We Are ALX.
This report highlights the significant contributions of Latino Americans — who accounted for 80% of the state’s population growth and $30 billion in economic production — and outlines the opportunities to bridge remaining education, workforce, and wealth gaps.
Honorary Co Hosts:
- Massachusetts State Senator Adam Gomez
- Massachusetts State Representative Frank Moran
Report overview by:
- Doug Howgate, President, Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation
- Eneida Román, President and CEO, We Are ALX
There will also be a panel discussion with experts in education, workforce development, and the economy.
We’ll explore how investing in the Latino American workforce can help Massachusetts meet the growing demand in high-impact industries like manufacturing, clean energy, and life sciences, where an estimated 143,000 additional workers will be needed.
Be part of this important conversation on shaping policies that advance Latino economic opportunity—and the economic future of Massachusetts.
