Pour votre 4e et dernière date de notre série de Alto/Fest speed-dating 2023-24, Scott Chancey ramène le printemps! Programme « Schubert et les oiseaux », sonate et lieder, ces chansons brèves basées sur de magnifiques poèmes allemands que Scott vous fera découvrir sous un jour nouveau alors qu’ils seront non seulement joués, mais aussi récités, chacun.e pouvant alors réellement être sur la même longueur d’onde… printemps d'espoir, printemps mélancolique, brumeux, ensoleillé? Scott, son ami Jean Desmarais au piano et notre cher Franz Schubert nous les rendront tous séduisants.

For your 4th and last date of the 2023-24 speed-dating series, Scott Chancey brings in the spring with "Schubert and the birds"! At the core of the program are Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata and his lieder; short songs inspired by beautiful German poems. Discover this classic music through a new light - our musical selections will be paired with spoken-word recitation of the poems themselves , granting you an appreciation of the deeper meaning of this poetry; spring of hope, of melancholy, shady spring... light spring? Scott, his friend Jean Desmarais at the piano and our dear Franz Schubert will enliven your senses with this intimate and refreshing musical treat.
