The Alternative Endings: The Watermelon Woman @ 30 symposium from 9:30-6:30 pm on Saturday, October 17th, at Northwestern's Downtown Campus is part of a two-day program honoring the film's legacy.
Join us on Friday, October 16th, from 4-5:30 pm, for We’ve Been Here: 30 Years of Chicago Queer Black Lesbian Filmmaking, a screening of the works of local filmmakers, curated by Sisters in Cinema Director Yvonne Welbon, will be held at the Logan Center at the University of Chicago.
General admission tickets are on sale for the Friday screening of The Watermelon Woman as part of the Chicago International Film Festival's Black Perspectives program.
