About this Event

The Alternative Endings: The Watermelon Woman @ 30 symposium from 9:30-6:30 pm on Saturday, October 17th, at Northwestern's Downtown Campus is part of a two-day program honoring the film's legacy.

On Friday, October 16th, from 4-6 pm, a screening of shorts by local filmmakers, curated by Sisters in Cinema Director Yvonne Welbon, will be held at the Logan Center at the University of Chicago. The shorts program will be followed by a reception. Look out for more programming announcements in the coming weeks.
