✂️ Alterations Basics — make your clothes fit YOU.
Stop settling for almost-right clothes. In this hands-on Tuesday-afternoon series, you'll learn the alterations skills that make off-the-rack and thrifted pieces fit like they were made for you.
What you'll learn and do: How to take measurements and pin a proper fit Hemming pants, skirts, and sleeves Taking in and letting out seams Replacing buttons, fixing zippers, and simple repairs When an alteration is DIY-friendly — and when it's tailor territory
Good to know: Bring 1–2 garments of your own to work on Basic machine comfort helps (Beginner Sewing Series Level 1 is great prep), but all levels are welcome Optional independent work time after class until 2:30 PM Pre-registration is required so we can hold your seat and have your materials ready A materials list will be sent after registration
