ALPINE BLAST - The latest in Alpine Muzik to hit the local Milwaukee Area music scene! Usually performing as a duo, this band can be extended to a trio for large events.
Their signature specialty is the sound from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Slovenia since all the band members have roots in those countries. But in true Oktoberfest fashion they can turn into a party band as the night progresses.
With their professional equipment and modern technology they are able to entertain audiences small and large with the sound of a 6 or 7 piece band.
All three members have long lasting experience in the international music scene, speak (and sing) multiple languages, and play a variety of instruments. But the magic ingredient is the fun and passion that is being displayed on stage at every gig.
If you want to see an energetic show, and hear genuine European music while sipping down a nice cold beer and enjoying a good old fashion Bavarian Bretzen (pretzel), these guys are the real deal! Alpine Blast - Wisconsin's cheapest European getaway since 2015!
Members
Bruce Schütz (Bass, Vocals, Yodeling) - Founding member of the “Austrian Trio Grande” and later the “Austrian Express” for nearly 40 years. Famous for his authentic high-speed yodeling and golden voice, he’s also responsible for the deep tones and the technical aspects of the show.
Thomas Dietrich (Accordion, Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals) - Before he found his way to the Midwest, he was active in the Swiss and German music scene. While on US tour with “Schwarzwald Vagabunden”, he met his wife and the rest is history. Together with Bruce he started the Alpine Blast in 2015.
Ully Supovec (Accordion, Keyboards, Clarinet, Vocals) - Born in Slovenia, he became a member of several professional Austrian bands like legendary “die Karawanken” and was on tour all over Europe. While playing for the US Hofbräuhaus, he met his wife and decided to stay. Since Thomas and Ully know each other from their European years, it was only a matter of time until they had to reunite on stage.
