ALPFA Pride+ Leadership Summit: Purpose to Power

We are excited to announce the second annual ALPFA Pride+ Leadership Summit to close out Hispanic Heritage Month on National Coming Out Day, Friday, October 11, 2024, hosted by UBS in New York City! LGBTQ+ ALPFA members and Allies from across the country are invited to attend this year’s Leadership Summit. ALPFA Pride+ sits at the intersection of multiple identities. One of the most beautiful aspects of coming out as a queer person is getting to re-discover the dimensions of ourselves that were covered and hidden in our formative years, often out of fear or protection. The process of coming out of the closet is one of the strongest, if not the strongest and bravest acts of self love a queer person can do in their lifetime.

Last year our annual Leadership Summit focused on Embracing our Dimensions, diving into all that makes us, us. Our boss dimension, our ick dimension, our yaaasss queen dimension, and our “child please” dimension. Dare I say, our brat dimension. The things we forgot we once loved to do, that were the most pure form of our authentic personalities, before our lives were shaped by cultural pressures. As we live to truly embrace our dimensions, we find our why, our purpose.

Now it’s time to turn that Purpose into Power.

The theme for our 2024 ALPFA Pride+ Leadership Summit is Purpose to Power. With workshops like The Power of Accountability, The Power of Resilience, and The Power of Selecting Your Growth “Yes”, our speakers will lead interactive group activities focused on turning that Purpose to Power. Over 70% of each Leadership Summit consists of small group activities and collaborative discussion. In line with our mission to connect latinx LGBTQ+ leaders for impact, we build in opportunities for every person to meet every person by the end of the day.
