About this Event
Welcome back to your "home away from home"!
All alumni age 26 and older are invited to share a special "Alumni Havdalah" at Camp Alonim this summer on Saturday, July 25th. If your child is a camper this summer (entering 2nd-11th graders), you may not visit when your child is at camp (Session Sheini 2026 and/or CIT).
Saturday evening is a great time to experience the energy, warmth, and unique spirit that exist at Camp Alonim. We invite you to arrive at camp between 5:45 and 6:00 p.m. so you can mingle as our campers begin to gather on the Dance Pavilion. There will be a Schmooze and Socialize "hour" between 5:45 and 6:30 pm to reconnect with your fellow CITs and enjoy light refreshments. Dinner will follow at approximately 6:30, followed by special alumni activities and a camp-wide Havdalah. The evening will end with our unparalleled tradition of Israeli folk dancing. The evening concludes for guests at 10:00 p.m.
To arrange your Havdalah visit, please fill out this form as soon as possible -- before we sell out or registration closes.
All reservations are non-refundable.

FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I arrive early? We appreciate your eagerness to spend time at camp, but we ask that you not arrive early.
Where do I sit for dinner? There will be reserved tables for guests in the Dining Hall.
Can I visit a bunk or see the CIT area while I'm at camp? We ask that you not enter places where our campers, CITs, or staff members reside.
Why don't we use our phones on Shabbat? Disconnecting from our phones and other personal-use technology on Shabbat allows us the time to disconnect and reconnectwith our community. The Torah isntructs us to take a Sabbath of complete rest anda Sabbath that refreshes us. At Alonim, we refresh by putting pause on our busy lives and connecting with those around us without the interference of phones and other technology.
Why are guests older than 26 only allowed to visit? We are excited to welcome guests to the Alonim community each summer, but we do not want to do so at the expense of the campers currently enrolled in camp. Guests younger than 26 may know current campers and staff and their presence detracts from the insular camp experience that we create at Alonim each summer. For this same reason, parents or families with campers currently enrolled at camp during the Havdalah event cannot attend.
