Join the Minneapolis Parks Foundation and Owámniyomni Okhódayapi for a 90-minute guided Walk and Talk exploring the rich history, cultural significance, and natural ecology of Owámniyomni, the area around St. Anthony Falls, the Stone Arch Bridge, and the Mississippi central riverfront.The program begins at Father Hennepin Bluffs Park, where Dakota knowledge holders will share stories and insights about the river and surrounding lands. Participants will then walk across the iconic Stone Arch Bridge and learn more about the ecology and environment as it exists today, and visit the newly constructed Water Works Park and Pavilion, where they’ll hear about this site’s industrial history, cultural preservation, and present-day programming.
Registration Information: This workshop is available at no additional fee to Saturday passholders and Festival Supporter passholders. A separate registration is required to secure your spot.
Passholders can register by adding this ticket to their cart at check-out. Registration does require the purchase of a festival pass. Space is limited, and registration ensures your entry to this event.
