Schedule
Sun Jul 09 2023 at 07:30 pm to 11:00 pm
Location
Llangollen Town Hall | Llangollen, WA
The 26th edition of the Llangollen Fringe Festival takes place from 7th-15th July and will feature an exciting range of shows with comedy music dance workshops and more all represented in the programme.
Headlining acts announced include Alogte Oho and his Sounds of Joy. Alogte Oho was raised in southern Ghana and later moved to the land of the Frafra (also known as Fare-Fare) community in northern Ghana. There he became involved in the gospel music practiced in local churches. Oho composed the song “Mam Yinne Wa” (God You love me so) after he recovered from an accident. It became a hit and he rose to the top of the Frafra gospel music scene.
‘Mam Yinne Wa’ is also the title of Alogte’s first debut internationally released album on Philophon. As always Alogte is accompanied his cheerful choir The Sounds of Joy.
Alogte will take you on a musical journey of West African song and dance guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s face!
