In celebration of Pride Month, we will be hosting a number of LGBTIQ+ Park Run meet-ups all across the Highlands. These will all be apart of the Highland Pride festival of events, with the Alness and Stornoway meet-ups also apart of LEAP Sports' Festival Fortnight!The Alness meet-up will be extra special, as the Park Run are teaming up with Alness gala to put on their annual Colour Run. We will get covered in environmentally, human friendly coloured powder, perfect for Pride Month!
You have the choice to run, walk, volunteer or spectate, and there will be a social coffee after the event for chatting an networking. Gavin from LEAP Sports will be the host for the Alness meetup. The group will meet at 9.15am before the Park Runs starts at 9.30am.
There is no need to book on to the event, but if you want to take part, you do need to register for Park Run if you haven't done before. You only need to register for Park Run once, and then you participate at any Park Run after that. Register here: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/ Once registered, you will receive a QR code that you will need to bring to the event to check-in.
Open to LGBTIQ+ people of all ages. Under 18s should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
