Many of us view ourselves as allies, advocates, and anti-racist colleagues. But in real workplace moments, we freeze, over-explain, avoid conflict, or stay quiet because we are afraid of getting it wrong. Not because we are bad people, but because we have not had to sharpen our skills in combating the brutality that is racism in everyday situtations.

Allyship in Action is designed to help participants build the self-awareness, discernment, and communication skills needed to show up with more courage, humility, and consistency in our workplace, when it matters most.

This is not a performative training. It is a structured, skill-based retreat for people who are ready to examine their conditioning, understand their impact, and practice what accountable action looks like in real workplace situations.

What You’ll Walk Away With

• More choice in charged moments — the ability to recognize when you’re activated, defensive, frozen, overwhelmed, or uncertain and access the steadiness to respond with greater intention
• Stronger discernment when there isn’t an obvious “right” answer — when to speak up, when to listen, how to use your power, and how to navigate the nuance of taking up space versus stepping back
• Tangible tools for navigating conflict, difficult decisions, racial tension, and moments of harm with greater clarity, courage, and accountability
• Practical language and real-world experience interrupting microaggressions and racialized harm without relying on the perfect words or waiting until you feel completely comfortable
• A deeper understanding of power, impact, and responsibility — including how your positionality influences decisions, communication, relationships, and workplace dynamics
• Greater self-awareness of how racial identity, conditioning, lived experience, and internal patterns shape how you show up at work
• Greater capacity to put your anti-racist values into practice — not only when you have time to think about them, but in the complex, imperfect moments when they are hardest to live

There are no prerequisites! We show up to support each other in this work, wherever we are at: whether we are new to this work or have been at it for decades. Come as you are!
