Allocation of Congressional Seats

Dr. Grynaviski will explore how the number of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives was set, how and when the number was set, and why this number has not changed in recent history. He will also reflect on the possible impacts these numbers have on governance and the relationship of representatives to their constituents, and how Michigan's representation has been impacted.

League of Women Voters Detroit and the Detroit Public Library are partnering in talks promoting voter education and tools for action.
