Please join us in the Skylight Room for a very special Coffee House first Wednesday musical event with soprano, Allisa Grimaldi. As always, the conversation and conviviality will continue downstairs in the dining room following the event.

Alissa Grimaldi began her career in Ancón, Zona del Canal de Panamá performing as a soloist in Acrobatics, Ballet, and Tap. After moving to California she added Jazz to her dancing skills and studied drama at the Ben Bard School of Acting in Beverly Hills.
Her extensive theatre credits include Amanda, Private Lives; Lisa, Man in the Gray Flannel Suit; Nora, A Doll’s House; Annabelle, Annabelle Broom; Filumena, Filumena; Amanda, Time Remembered; and Colombine,Colombine and Pierrott.
Her musical theater roles include: Maria,West Side Story; Eliza, My Fair Lady; Desiree, A Little Night Music; Ursula Merkle, Bye Bye Birdie; Kitty, Kitty Leroy; Bonnie, The Princess Bonnie; Gasparina, La Canterina; Mary, Casey At The Bat; and Tuptim, The King and I.
Her many roles in opera and operetta include: Violetta, La Traviata; Butterfly, Madama Butterfly; Mimi and Musetta, La Bohème; Lauretta, Gianni Schicci; Sister Genevieve, Suor Angelica; Countess and Susanna, The Marriage of Figaro; Fiordiligi and Despina, Così fan Tutte; Zerlina, Don Giovanni; Pamina, Die Zauberflöte; Norina, Don Pasquale; Serpina, La Serva Padrona; Micaela, Carmen; Laetitia, The Old Maid and the Thief; Lucy, The Telephone; Rosalinda, Die Fledermaus; Hanna Glawari, The Merry Widow; Mabel, Pirates of Penzance; Patience, Patience; and La Périchole, La Périchole.
Concert and Recital repertoire include the following works: Bach, Passion According to St. John, Peasant Cantata, and Coffee Cantata; Handel, Messiah; Haydn, The Creation; Mozart, Exsultate Jubilate; Beethoven, Symphony No. 9; Saint-Saëns, Christmas Oratorio; Brahms, A German Requiem; Verdi, Requiem; Faure, Requiem; Griffes, Three Poems of Fiona MacLeod; de Falla, Siete Canciones populares Españolas; Orff, Carmina Burana; and Strauss, Vier Letzte Lieder.
Through her study with Jacqueline Victorino in Sacramento, California Alissa developed a student-focused technical approach to singing she applies to her own vocal studio. She is a vocal technician who regularly conducts master classes in Park City, Utah, has presented master classes at the Classical Singer Convention in NYC, and co-directed the Singers Studio for Opera in NYC. Her credits as a stage director include full productions of La Bohème, and Die Fledermaus, and scenes from LaTraviata and Manon among others. Her students have won major awards and work with leading opera companies in the United States and Europe.
