ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This course is an introduction to the newly popular but century-old medium of Gouache. The focus of study will be exploring Gouache’s unique artistic properties and how it can be used as a means for discovery both in the studio and in plein air. Due to its fast-drying nature, Gouache allows an artist to develop ideas quickly. A well-planned Gouache study can stand as a finished painting or act as a catalyst for larger works. However the artist chooses to use the medium, Gouache can become yet another tool in the artist’s creative toolbox to help produce confident and lifelike paintings!
*This is a Classroom and Plein Air Setting Workshop.
