Allegheny Valley Habitat for Humanity invites everyone to its free holiday concert fundraiser at Voodoo Brewery in downtown New Kensington. Heidi and the Hellcats lead the lineup, bringing the sounds of the season, plus a little rock n’ roll. Emcee Martin the Troubadour will conduct a Christmas carol sing-along, take requests for holiday favorites, and introduce special musical guests.
Edible offerings include a carefully curated Santa’s Christmas cookie table complete with beer pairings, and an event-exclusive holiday cocktail from Voodoo, which supports Habitat with a portion of its proceeds. Sponsored by Stover & Co. of Cheswick, the cookie table will be a sweet treat for everyone!
Guests are invited to put their most festive holiday fashion forward by dressing for the Christmas Couture Contest. Prizes include Habitat for Humanity AV Restore gift cards for winners of the Ugliest Christmas Sweater, Holly-Jolliest Ensemble, and Most Merry and Bright Attire.
A basket auction and a 50/50 raffle offer chances to make your season even brighter, proceeds from which will help Habitat provide local families with decent and stable homes.
New executive director Steven Szanca will be on hand to advise guests about Habitat’s mission and projects that are underway.
