Russell Kahn joins us from Tucson, AZ for this day-long workshop on surface design. The morning slideshow + demonstration will show how Russell's sharpie drawings developed into printmaking and then how his printmaking then developed into sgraffito on clay. He will introduce and discuss a variety of tools, colored slips, and underglaze to use in this technique. The afternoon will be hands-on time to practice carving into your own tiles, vessel, forms, or sculptures with Russell’s 1:1 support and guidance.
