All Saints Memorial Concert Scheduled November 2 at 3 PMFredericksburg Community Orchestras Returns to Kerrville for Second Performance of Moving Tribute
KERRVILLE, TX – The Fredericksburg Community Orchestras (FCO) and First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville will present a memorial concert for All Saints' Day honoring the victims of the devastating July 4th flood on Saturday, November 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville. This performance will also commemorate other loved ones lost throughout the year.
The concert is a reprise of a deeply moving memorial originally performed on August 3, 2025, which brought together string players from Kerrville and members of FCO in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy that claimed hundreds of lives across the Hill Country.
A Community United in Remembrance
The July 4th flood devastated communities along the Guadalupe River, affecting summer camps, visitors, and residents. In response, local musicians came together to create a space for communal healing through music.
"As a musician, I wondered what I could do for our community during this time," said Theresa Britt. "What emerged was one of the most meaningful musical experiences of my life—a chance to honor those we lost and help our community grieve together.”

The memorial concert will feature:
Barber's Adagio for Strings – performed by chamber ensemble members

"Ashokan Farewell" – During which the names of flood victims will be spoken
"Dona Nobis Pacem" (Grant Us Peace) – performed by all musicians
The August memorial was conceived through collaboration with Alexandria French, a Schreiner University student, and orchestra member Brenda Boenig, who suggested the powerful tribute of speaking each victim's name during the performance.
About the Music
"Pass It On," a beloved hymn at Camp Mystic, gained renewed significance when video emerged of young campers singing it from an evacuation bus as they passed Schumacher Crossing, where floodwaters still covered the road. The arrangement for string orchestra was created specifically for this memorial.
The community is invited to join in this meaningful tribute as we remember those lost and continue the healing process together.
